Systema Singapore Instructors
With more than 10 years of Aikido training under his belt, Ron was on his way to teaching Aikido until he met Mikhail Ryabko and Vladimir Vasiliev in the Systema Summer Camp in 2009. He now teaches exclusively the Russian martial art. Ron is the founder of Systema Singapore.
Lau Wen Hsin
Wen Hsin began with his martial arts journey with kickboxing and karate, but quickly moved over to Systema. He has been certified to teach the Russian martial art since 2011 and has travelled to both the Toronto and Moscow headquarters numerous times to train with Vladimir Vasiliev and Mikhail Ryabko. He was the founding instructor of the SUTD School Of Russian Martial Art.
Aaron has been doing martial arts from the tender age of 9. Prior to Systema, he studied Taekwondo (which he has a black belt in), Wing Chun, Muay Thai and MMA. He came across Systema in 2011 and has never turned back since.
Shah has been training in Systema since 2012. His speciality is giving and receiving strikes and enjoys frustrating opponents who try to restrain him. Having served in the Singapore Police Force, Shah swears by Systema's ability to prepare one for a stressful and dangerous situation.
Samuel Lim (1993 - 2018)
Samuel first heard of Systema in 2011 and trained regularly with us since 2013. He had a background in competitive fencing and dabbled in various fighting styles, but Systema is his base martial art. He enjoyed full-contact work, especially Systema knife work. Samuel taught mostly at the SUTD School Of Russian Martial Art until his sudden passing in August 2018. Samuel will be deeply missed by all of us at Systema Singapore and the SUTD School Of Russian Martial Art. His legacy lives on in us.
